Hello all. New poster here, but I've been a fan of the Half-Life series since first play HL1 and Team Fortress Classic way back in 2001.
I come to you with a technical question I'm hoping you may have the answer to, and also because my steam forums account isn't activated yet.
I recently broke down and got Steam, but found out after letting a friend borrow my Half-Life Plastinum pack, that my CD keys were invalid, and that he lost my half life key. Great. So I bought the Anthology from Steam, and downloaded it. One thing was missing though, that's very important, in my opinion: The music.
Turns out I'd still need the CD in the drive to hear music. Bummer. That's the whole reason I went and got the Anthology from Steam instead of buying another Platinum pack. Though I found this page that lets me play the music from OpFor/BlueShift without the CDs, I'm wondering, does anybody know how I could do this with the music to the original Half-Life?
Long stretch, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Also, the music for the original Half-Life SHOULD work fine; it does with my copy on Steam. Maybe try right-clicking on the game, going to "Properties" on the context menu, and then going to the "Local Files" tab, and then "Verify Integrity of Game Cache." This basically checks to make sure you have all the files there, since HL obviously doesn't update all that often.
